This winter, Foodbank Victoria needs to raise $100,000 to continue providing food to those in our community facing hardship.
Last year alone, Foodbank Victoria distributed over 6.9 million meals across Victorian communities – but we are still not meeting the demand.
More than 500,000 Victorians are likely to seek support for food at least once this year. Many will be turned away, with no where else to go, as a result of the high demand placed on community
organisations and social services.
This includes families and individuals struggling with the effects of low income, long term unemployment, homelessness, illness or domestic violence. They may be living with disability, may be
trying to rebuild their lives as a result of bushfire or flood or may be seeking asylum, trying to build a new life and are unable to access healthy food due to physical and financial
